Maybe I should look into getting a Twitter instead, since I post a lot of links. I really like how facebook does it with the little picture and description... Plus I don't think Twitter is for me, I sometimes want to write a lot. Like now, but I can't, I need sleep.
This article is interesting, though it isn't new. It's about the "thigh gap" trend. It seems like only yesterday it was last year's superbowl and Beyonce was onstage. I remember she came under fire because she DID NOT have a thigh gap, though that was encouraging for women and young girls who did not have one, Beyonce is gorgeous and she could be a healthy role model.
Following this. Creepy and unfortunate, but fascinating to follow.
These pictures made me start daydreaming HARD. Not because I desperately want to be a bride, not because I just want to look like a princess, not because I want a wedding and not a marriage, but because the look of love, excitement, and surprise on all these men's faces is priceless. Men don't get to show emotion freely enough in our society, this is priceless.
There is a beauty sometimes not seen in sadness... this brings it out into the open. Heartbreak can sometimes be beautiful, though it hurts as nothing else can.
This is one of my favorite recent articles, considering all that I have been through recently. In the face of trials and adversity it seems many people either turn away from God, or grow closer to God. It's difficult, but I am most certainly in the latter camp. It's hard, it's scary, I still don't know what happens after we die, and I'm terrified to find out (hopefully won't be happening for over 50 years... but still...) but I think this article does a fantastic job talking about how God is related to the struggles we are dealing with and how community can be a light and a source of support in our times of need.
"God never gives you more than you can bear" is actually never in the bible. And recently it seems that God has given me more than I can bear. Much, much more. But I'm bearing it. How about that. I'm not bearing it myself though. I have my family, my friends, and the strength of my community behind me. How about that. It's a good read.
